Welcome! My name is Noor and I’m so glad you’re here. As a psychotherapist, immigrant and person-of-color, I understand firsthand the complexities of balancing cultural heritage with personal aspirations. I'm dedicated to helping high-achieving daughters of immigrants navigate intergenerational trauma and societal expectations to achieve self-compassion and well-being.

Therapeutic Approach

  • Connected

I believe the relationship between therapist and client is the path towards healing. We work together to form a secure and connected relationship that can inform your other relationships in life. I draw from attachment-based and cultural relational therapy to help us collaborate and get curious about your inner-work.

  • Empowering

In our patriarchal culture, we are often taught that we are unworthy or unlovable. Our therapy is a space in which you can unlearn these beliefs through the art of inner self-compassion, advocacy, and strength-building. While serving as the expert of your own life, we empower you by utilizing a variety of modalities, such as Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems, and strengths-based therapy.

  • Culturally Affirming

My deep appreciation in providing culturally affirming therapy comes from my own experience of growing up in multiple cultures. I understand how dual cultures can both support and oppose each other, leaving us confused and unable to sort through our values and life perspectives. I utilize feminist theory and my knowledge of immigration, race and ethnic identity development to create a safe space for us to explore together.

  • Evidence-Based

It’s important to me that my clients see results. I value the use of evidence-based therapy and I recognize that it may not fully reflect the experiences of each individual. Together, we create a treatment plan that best meets your needs. I refer to neuroscience and current research, offering new insights for our work together while utilizing Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused, and Psychodynamic therapy to support you.
